The Golden Circle is Iceland’s most famous route, and most people see it through a coach window on somebody else’s schedule. This is the other way: a private guide-driver, a comfortable vehicle, and a departure at whatever time suits your group — early to beat the buses, or in summer an evening start for the midnight-sun light and empty viewpoints.

You’ll walk the Almannagjá gorge at Þingvellir, where two continents pull apart and Iceland’s parliament met for nine hundred years. You’ll watch Strokkur erupt five times, not once from behind a crowd, because your guide knows where to stand. You’ll take both viewpoints at Gullfoss and stay as long as it deserves. Extra stops on request — the Kerið crater, Icelandic horses, a farm ice cream.

And at every stop, your guide happily shoots your group on your phone — the viewpoints, the angles, the light. Nobody goes home with only landscape shots.

✨ Highlights

  • Fully private: your group of 1–8, never merged with strangers
  • Departure at the time that suits you — morning, midday or evening
  • Þingvellir, the Geysir hot-spring field and Gullfoss, unhurried
  • Your guide photographs your group at every stop
